Artist for a day
Materials:
Skipping ropes and possibly a long rope
Instructions:
The students work individually or together in small groups. They now have to be ‘artist for a day’ and shape various things on the floor with the skipping rope/ long rope.
- Languages – make different letters with your skipping rope on the floor, get together in a group of four and make the word ‘S-K-I-P’- possibly in joint up writing with focus on transitions between the letters.
- Maths – write numbers or make geometrical shapes. You could also make patterns that have to be continued with the skipping rope.
- Geography – illustrate Australia or Italy with your skipping ropes or long rope.
- Art – illustrate the architecture of famous buildings/ bridges e.g. Big Ben or Brooklyn Bridge.
- History- make illustrations of weapons used by the Vikings.
